Dreame L20 Ultra Robotic Vacuum and Mop - Reconditioned

This is our 4th high end robot vacuum. I was a loyal ECOVACS customer prior to buying this vac and always thought they were very good… honestly still do. This vac is on another level though. Vacuums and mops flawlessly and the object detection is second to none. If you want the best, this is the one to buy.

I’m coming from a zig zag cheapo brand where the “mop” was a water reservoir and piece of cloth drug like a dog’s butt. I have 3 large dogs and they bring in a lot of dirt (but don’t shed much) so I was focused on finding the best mopping robo. If there’s something better out there I would be in awe. It was set up in just a few minutes and the app was a breeze. I overdid it, expecting the heavy soil settings to be necessary to clean my tile next to the doggy door in particular. Not the case at all - I used the tightest overlap and wettest setting for 3 passes, but it was spotless and even attacking the grout after 1 pass. Any complaints I’d seen about it caroming off walls or furniture have apparently been solved with the firmware it loaded. It followed the walls arrow straight with the mop head at a perfectly measured distance and got just as close on round contours of my sectional and furniture. It recognized every cord in my house that was visible to the camera with 65% or better confidence. It discovered my low and high pile area rugs automatically, lifted the mop heads, adjusted vacuum power… all by just leaving it on the smart defaults.I’m blown away. I feel like this is a large stride forward in automation. So many things feel like gimmicks, where the L20 appears to be a meaningful advancement and serious time saver.

We have had this robot working for a week. I'm very happy with it so far. It cleans our tile/hardwood/rug covered first floor dodging toys, shoes and other kid items strewn about. We don't need to pre-clean for the robot to do a good job. During this week it has not gotten lost once nor has it gotten into trouble. Zero eaten toys or cords. The same can't be said for our now-retired Roomba S9+ that would get lost, stuck or eat cords almost daily.I wasn't sure about the value of mopping, but given what the waste water looks like I think it's nice to have. We do have a dog that drops a lot of hair so daily vacuuming is a must for us. The suction seems adequate to keep things clean. It doesn't get too loud. You can definitely do work when the robot is working.The app leaves a lot of be desired, but it works. The company needs to hire a native english speaker to edit their app and their manual, but you can figure out what the command/notification is getting at. The app can be a bit slow so wait a beat after any button presses.I would highly recommend this robot for somebody with an active, child and pet-filled house who needs the robot to just run without pre-cleaning its path. You will need to check on the water (dirty and clean) every couple days as it uses quite a bit. While expensive it seems to be worth the price.

Constantly dropping the mop heads, drags over the low pile carpet, intermittently tries to mop the carpet even after manually labeling carpet regions. I guess it vacuums fine but this is so obnoxious. Not worth the money.After posting this review customer service eventually got back to me and sent me a new unit. While I do not believe the product is worth it's price it is performing significantly better than the original.

So far so good, I totally believe this is worth the money. We live on a farm and everybody wears their shoes in the house and this keeps my floors clean. We have all hard floors with one large area rug. Does the job and does not require time from my day which I love! Wish I could afford to buy them for all 3 of our kids!
